Aveea School Workshop Policy

Last Updated: May 2025

Aveea is proud to deliver engaging, hands-on STEM workshops for students aged 5-11. These sessions are carefully designed to align with the UK curriculum, and are facilitated by trained Aveea staff. To ensure the success and safety of every session, we ask our school partners to read and adhere to the following policy.

1. Supervision & Responsibility

  • All Aveea workshops are led by qualified Aveea facilitators.

  • Schools are required to provide appropriate supervision at all times. While Aveea staff manage activities and instruction, the school remains responsible for behaviour management and safeguarding during the session.

  • For SEND or EHCP students, a 1:1 or designated support adult must remain present throughout. Aveea staff are not able to provide specialised support beyond reasonable classroom adjustments.

2. Venue & Equipment Requirements

To ensure smooth delivery, the school must provide:

  • A clean, safe space large enough for the number of participants

  • Access to power outlets, tables, and seating (if required for the session)

  • Timely access to the room at least 15 minutes before and after the session

  • Supervision during setup and pack-down if the room is in shared use

3. Media & Photography

Aveea showcases the joy of science and creativity through photography and video. These images are used on our internal platforms, promotional materials, and social media to inspire more children into STEM.

  • We regularly take photos during workshops. These are vetted internally by our media team before any use.

  • If any student should not appear in photos, the school must inform us in advance of the session.

  • Where no notice is given, we will assume the school has secured the necessary permissions.

4. Health, Safety & Liability

  • All Aveea staff are trained in workshop-specific Health & Safety protocols. A risk assessment is available upon request.

  • All materials and tools are age-appropriate and safe when used as instructed.

  • That said, Aveea cannot accept liability for injuries, damages or disruptions caused by student behaviour, venue hazards, or the failure to follow reasonable instructions.

  • The school is responsible for ensuring a safe environment and raising any known risks prior to our arrival.

5. Booking & Agreement

By confirming a workshop booking with Aveea, your school agrees to the terms above.
