This Term Only: Where Ideas Get Built
Watch Mr Patel’s message about this term’s adventures - — or jump straight in below to see what’s waiting for your child.
Places are limited.
Workshops run weekly in our Spring Term 2026.
This isn’t “arts & crafts”. Children work with UV-curable resin - the kind used in professional applications (think dental) to design and cast small models.
We cover materials science, curing chemistry, moulds, and safe lab practice (PPE and supervised handling throughout).
They’ll leave with something they designed and made.
UV Resin Lab: Model Making with Real-World Materials.
3D Pen Engineering: Sketch, Strengthen, Structure.
A hands-on introduction to 3D thinking.
Learners prototype frames and components with 3D pens, then test and reinforce their designs.
It’s playful but serious engineering: triangulation, joints, and load paths made tangible.
Concepts: structure, tensile vs. compressive strength, joints
Skills: planning, prototyping, failure → improvement
CAD to Cutter: Cricut Design & Digital Fabrication
From CAD-style design to precise cutting with a Cricut, mirroring the workflow our engineers use to take ideas from screen to physical output.
Students create vector designs, set cut paths, and produce clean, accurate parts from card/vinyl.
Concepts: design constraints, tolerances, toolpaths
Skills: digital design, rapid iteration, assembly
Plus So Much More This Term
Filtering Materials
Sort, test, and compare different media to understand filtration, separation, and particle size.
Build a Boat
Design hulls, then stress‑test how much mass they can carry: buoyancy, density, displacement.
Doctor’s Workshop
Roles on a ward, equipment demos, and clinical reasoning activities.
Build the Bridge
Span challenges, trusses & triangulation, load testing, and iteration.
Zipline
Design carriers, optimise for speed vs. safety, friction and aerodynamics in action..
UV Balls & Moulds
Explore polymers and curing while making custom moulded forms.
Sphero Indi
Early‑years coding with sensors and logic, playful pathways that teach algorithms.
Stop‑Motion Studio
Storyboard, shoot, and edit a short film. Creativity meets frame‑by‑frame physics.
Each one is designed to leave them saying: “I did this myself.”
Curriculum‑aligned (and more fun than any classroom).
Confidence, curiosity, and creativity built into every session.
Delivered by trained, engaging professionals.
