Aveea Academy Sessions

Update – 8th April 2020

Many thanks to all parents and guardians who have been patient with us whilst we understand how we plan to move forward.

As stated in the previous update by Prem, we at Aveea would not want any pupil part of Aveea Academy to miss out on our sessions that we were not able to run.

Therefore I can now confirm that when we resume Aveea Academy, those pupils who have missed out due to the last week of school will have some form of good will gesture on the next booking. We cannot confirm exactly what this will look like at present due to the number of differnet options that lay ahead. Really this will be dependant on when schools re-open or when social distancing eases as we come to safer and relaxed times. The potential options we are planning are –

    • Resuming after Easter (dependant on schools opening)
    • June / Summer Sessions (full day sessions )
    • Resuming in September 2020.

Thank you

Update – 21 March 2020

In light of recent news announced by our Prime Minister last week, as we all know, all schools have been closed as of Friday 20th March.

So what does this mean for Aveea Academy? Aveea’s main priority is the health and safety of our pupils, teachers and colleagues, therefore we held our last session on Friday 20th March until further notice.

As a non profit organisation, our aim is to inspire our students into the world of STEM (whom are doing all they can to get us through this period).

Aveea had a curriculum planned for our pupils for our final week of term, unfortunately this has been put to a stop. Therefore Aveea will run  extended sessions next term so that pupils do not miss out on the curriculum we had laid out for them, the opportunity to learn and explore and of course the sessions that you have paid for.

Although our Terms and Conditions state that Aveea do not offer refunds, given the current circumstances imposed upon us, we do not want anyone to lose out. This is from our pupils attending our sessions, volunteers and staff that help run our sessions and of course, parents and guardians who pay for them. We would like to reassure you all that we are doing all we can to assist.

We want to resume our sessions as soon as it is considered safe to do so, and wish to continue inspiring the future generation for years to come. For this to happen we ask you all to work with us during this period.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused but we hope you appreciate that this is also a very difficult time for us.

Information from Aveea

The safety and wellbeing for our pupils, teachers and colleagues is always the top priority for everyone at Aveea.

This is why we are closely following the advice and guidance of the Government, NHS and Public Health England and doing everything we can to protect everyone who interacts with Aveea.

What is Aveea doing?

  • Reinforcing personal hygiene (washing hands etc.) in sessions
  • Increased the frequency of cleaning our equipment and other items that pupils work with in our sessions
  • Reducing the number of unnecessary interactions that pupils may have with each other that may further spread the virus
  • Continuing to operate our normal schedule across the nation in line with the schools we operate in.

How can you help?

We teach our pupils at Aveea to look up to our heroes in STEM, and right now they are at the forefront of COVID-19. The most important thing you can do right now is to follow their advice, especially that given by the NHS. For more information, visit:
